As Lead Technical UI Artist on Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, I spearheaded a full overhaul of the game's core UMG widget architecture. The goal was twofold: improve runtime performance across PC and console, and cut down the iteration time it took the team to build and refine screens. The result was a cleaner, more modular foundation that made the entire UI faster to run and far easier to work in.
On the feature side, I designed and implemented the post-match UI systems in C++ and UMG, surfacing player statistics, account progression, weapon mastery, and rank rewards in a way that felt rewarding and readable at a glance. Throughout the project I partnered closely with engineering and design to bridge high-fidelity UI concepts with performant in-game implementation, all under the constraints of a live-service title where stability and polish had to hold up at scale.
